Our Training

Continual Personal development Matters
Continuous staff training and development is a major part of our philosophy at Care 2 U. By equipping our care staff to handle any and all care related situations, we put our service users in the best possible hands and fulfil our obligations to each of them and their families.

An experienced team . . .

The Training approach has evolved to develop and form working partnerships with a highly skilled and experienced group of training providers.

Together we deliver a comprehensive and in-depth training and development programme through the delivery of theory, practical subjects and assessment of candidates every step of the way.

To prepare them for Care and support working, our Carers complete their induction course and then spend time shadowing an experienced Carer in a Service Users home.

Their training prepares them in areas such as Manual Handling, Food Hygiene and First Aid, Health & Safety; they are also assigned a Team Leader who mentors them through out their employment.

It’s important for them to have somebody they can turn to for guidance whatever the situation, whatever the question.

As care needs change, our training evolves . . .
As part of our investment in our Carers, we offer them ongoing professional qualifications to constantly improve and update their skills and knowledge; we have a large number of bespoke training packages that cover different conditions our Carers are asked and required to support.

We constantly strive to explore specialist training needs; we have staff members who have completed the End of Life specialist training, Dementia and Learning Disability qualification (LDAF).

When necessary we invite specialists, such as the MS Society, to train our staff in particular areas.

All of this work meets and in some cases exceeds, the requirements set out in the Health & Social Care Act 2008.

This enables staff to underpin their working knowledge and practices to deliver excellent quality care services to meet individuals needs.

We have close working partnerships with local training companies to deliver QCF qualifications with a team of assessors we work closely with to help our Carers achieve QCF qualifications in Health & Social Care.
